A prominent Vinyl Historian said the following:

“Over many years of being involved in the vinyl record industry as a collector, valuer, journalist and seller I have not seen or am aware of the existence of a collection greater or equal to this. The historical importance of retaining all items together within this collection cannot be stressed enough. As it currently stands the real beauty of this portfolio is that is made up of three defining qualities; firstly the rare gems, limited editions, promos and acetates. Secondly the all time classical pieces for example the Sergeant Pepper Album and legendary Sun 78 of That’s Alright Mama and thirdly the many items which have limited significance individually, but collectively add the cherry to this musical cake.

To summarise it encapsulates the works of all of those who have had an effect, be it large or small on the music industry from roots of Gospel and Rhythm and blues to the birth of Rock and Roll and its many hybrids including soul, punk, pop, country and western etc. This is quite simply the defining collection within the field.”
